Frazz by Jef Mallett for October 22, 2015
Transcript:
Caulfield: I saw Michael Phelps is endorsing a shaving company. Frazz: Raising the question: Given what happened when he started endorsing my favorite goggles, what am I going to do with $40 razor blades? Caulfield: On the other hand, you appear to actually need goggles there, baby-face. Frazz: I guess one would last a long time.

What is Frazz doing in an indoor pool in October? I thought he was a purist. Shouldn’t he be swimming in Lake Michigan about now?

I’m sure there must be some humor here. Help me out: what is it? Is it the kid sassing the adult? Is it that Frazz doesn’t need a razor because he’s smooth-faced? Wracking my funny-receptors and coming up dry.

@Kind&Kinder: Swimmers have taken to wearing those body suits to cut down on resistance. I’m not sure Frazz is just talking about a smooth face….

I’ve only used an electric razor for many years. No more regular blade manufacturer-marketing nonsense for me. 3 blades, 4 blades, 5 blades….what are they up to now, 6? 7?And it’s generally believed that the blades are designed to dull after only one or two uses.

@Eric – mid-week swims are going to be pool swims. In the lake on Weekends.
@Kind – It’s a baby-face-not-needing-to-shave joke. You’re free to extend the joke to his general lack of hirsute-ness…

A buddy back in basic training never had to shave, he used the extra time to get his rack in inspection order. We all hated him for making us look bad.

and, women don’t like guys with body hair.

Oddly enough, no. The rules only state that limits for bathing suits for males are waist and knees.

Had a guy who worked for me, blonde and very sparse beard. Shaved maybe once a week when the hairs were long enough to be noticeable.

kroykaliYes, but I need a new screen for my Ronson 300. Covering the big holes with tape has reduced the cutting area to half.

why buy something because some over paid jock endorses it

I agree that bigpuma often tries to find fault with the strips, but by insulting people, you just put them on the defensive, and they ignore anything you might have to say. I advise that if you disagree with him, simply calmly state why, as then if it turns into a mudslinging fight, it wont’ be your fault.
