It’s a fair point. Eno didn’t say “thank you” when he received the coffee, so he has no right to complain that he didn’t get a “thank you” for handing over the money. This was a business transaction, not a gift on either side.

More and more we’re hearing, “No problem.” Of course it’s no problem – it’s your job.
Say “You’re welcome” when someone says “Thank you.”
