@ sottwell - probably more genetic than behavioral; not to imply that eating “rabbit food” might not have delayed or mitigated the problem. Sorry for your loss, in any case.
Last time I was at McDonald’s (35-40 years ago) I ordered a Big Mac, hold the Styrofoam. I was asked to leave. Think they’ll let me back now that they burned that Styrofoam? I can still taste those great greasy fries. Yum!
sottwell,,, Thanks and Sorry. Most people don’t realize that eating red meat and fatty foods triggers most intestinal cancers. It isn’t just the cause of heart disease.
People say they will eat and smoke what they like and to heck with the consequences, but I have listened to too many people laying on their death bed and saying they wish they had never taken that first puff or that they wished they had eaten a healthier diet. It is sad!
I hope that is a veggie burger and the fries are cooked in Safflower oil and the drink is cranberry juice.
My families favorite Friday night meal is Hamburgers or cheese burgers with potato chips and a berry smoothie. I make the burgers with 93% fat free ground meat; we use a slice of pepper-jack cheese, tomato and onion, and a leaf of green lettuce; and as desired mayo, catsup and mustard.

My father-in-law scorned to eat “rabbit food” and died very unpleasantly of stomach cancer.

You need to switch to Burger King - they broil their burgers; all the fat drips off. And no, not into the french fryer!

That over-the-counter food will move you quickly over-the-hill. (But it sure tastes good.)
