A large number of Catholic officials haven’t noticed what happened at Vatican II regarding the vernacular. After all, 1960s were so recent. The word hasn’t trickled down past most bishops – except for a few John Paul and Francis as Bishop of Rome and a few Liberationists in Latin America.
