    Speaking of huge hunks of metal, back when I was in the Air Force, I managed to hitch a ride on a C-5 a time or two. The flight manual for that thing is so big, that different crew members carry different parts of it.

    It is only rumor that it starts off with, “We the people of this aircraft …”

    While driving in Northern VA/DC rush hour traffic, I came up behind a Hummer owned by someone with a sense of humor.He had attached a “hybrid” emblem to the back.

    Here in NYC we almost never see Hummers anymore. I always wondered why anybody in the City would want one of these guzzlers. Sitting in traffic in my Honda Fit drives me crazy and it gets great mileage. Even at today’s low gas prices it’s got to be crazy.
