It’s hard to say if he meant “a series of games” played “almost exclusively by Americans” or the game (i.e. the sport) itself. If a “series of games” meaning the World Series itself, it is true that Toronto wasn’t in it this year but has won it before. (Some team of destiny prevented them this year…..) If he meant the game itself? Nonsense! Baseball, of course, is wildly popular throughout Latin America, and in Japan, China, Taiwan, and South Korea. I’d love to see baseball return to the Olympics, which would be the closest thing to a “world” series, but let’s face it: far more players not native to the United States play in our Major Leagues then the reverse. (Japan, in fact, has quotas limiting the number of foreign-born players on their various teams in their various leagues.) The highest level of baseball in the world is currently played in the United States. That might well change eventually, of course. (And I’m talking professional baseball, not Little League.) End of speech or I’ll be running into the beginning of our parade tomorrow!

Hi Cappers, I donated blood today and I finally made a proper full donation! I took 3 minutes, 57 seconds. A new record!
At first, I almost got turned away because of my small veins but I suggested they try my right arm and it worked.
Phew!
