I couldn’t help but notice the difference between Trudy in panel 4, and Mrx. Godfrey in the orange banner just above the strip. Same circumstances, much different outcome. I know we have been here about a month ago, but if Trudy had a dog she would be perfect for Nate. (Cats, phht, phht, hiss).I tolerate cats, I really do.

Just to plays devils advocate though … What would it take to bring some drama between them then. Just Cant see the relationship being friction free all the way through, even if it might just be an issue such as one going away.

Sorry to be a downer…relationships between people who encourage each other’s bad habits seldom go well or last long, ’specially as they get older.

Things are going too well for Nate, regarding Trudy. I have a feeling that Trudy’s mother or father will be getting a transfer, and the family will move several thousand miles away.
