Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson for November 29, 2015
Transcript:
Arlo: You're not going out shopping this weekend? Janis: Don't sound so disappointed! Arlo: I didn't mean to! It's just this is the only weekend I feel free to eat and sleep and watch football! Janis: Pray tell, what makes this weekend different? Arlo: It's the 'feel free' part, I guess.

Humph! It’s difficult to find it interesting when one person or the other has to be a clock watcher.

Is it just me or has Arlo been at the tanning salon overtime?

Y’know, this was a nice little cartoon until the adolescent porno fans began turning out their smut. Will you guys can it. Go you your movies, your magazine and the sites where they actually have what you’re fantasizing about here and leave this alone, will you?

That’s why I’m not married, I want that feel free feeling all the time….If I were married, my wife would have to live next door…..

@Dogday88 It might simply be that in the comic as far as I can tell she hasn’t shown him any affection of any sort in the last year and has started criticising most of what he does. Also when a woman starts using “pray tell, what” in her answers to anything you can pretty well bet it’s over. Arlo needs to start looking for a new home now before his life becomes totally miserable as it’s going to given the direction of this strip. She is slowly becoming as big a shrew as the female in the “Shirley and son” comic strip.

No shopping done here. We buy gifts for the 2 young nieces – 6 and 13, and send checks to the nephews and niece in their 20s and we are done. No one really wants what one gets for them nor is there is anything that we want either – and I can never understand how people can waste so much money on stuff – even more so on gifts, how many TVs does someone need?
