The hardest things to learn are those you don’t do very often. It’s why I will do online banking (checking daily), but not sign up online for my utilities, my medical records, or other things where I’ll only use the password once or twice a year.
Built my own (including this one) ever since the ol’ Commodore 64 days and I’d give one to my now-gone sis. When something would go awry with hers, I’d get hissed at to “LEAVE IT ALONE!! Every time you touch it, you mess it up !” (Snarl…cuss..fume..grumble) I’d have to wait until she went to a dr’s app’t or such before I could sneak in her house and fix it, for I knew she’d be gone for hours, but it helped to have a lil’ kid on the porch to post a guard ‘just in case’.. Then she went and bought a laptop with “Vista” on it. Things were never the same since. But Sheldon (of Big Bang Theory) enjoyed the challenge of Vista but I shied away after that and let The Geek Squad argue with her.

My 26 year old son computer guru still lives at home and is my IT support. I tell him I feed him so I get IT support for free.

It’s easier to learn new stuff if you don’t have to unlearn the old stuff, after you figure out which old stuff to unlearn.
