What is it about sitcoms that makes them so unwatchable, and yet why do we watch them anyway? What is it about our lives that makes them so unlivable, and yet why do we live them anyway? RB certainly has a tap into existential angst.

@SameAsOldFfred: If totally rad, louis! became a real sitcom, it would actually be watchable compared to whatâs out there.
I admit I had trouble getting the clarinets joke, though.
Nice touch with Ratnerâs elbow pads.

@SameAsOldFfred - maybe it is just a habit. Try giving up TV - I donât miss it one bit. I watch DVDs and public TV and rarely watch anything stupid.
Nice comic, too. I love Louisâ cool gestures. He is rad after all.

I donât watch sitcoms. Theyâre not funny to me. Now The Gates is good.
They donât say âcrapâ on Disney Channel⊠do they?

@SameAsOldFfred - Glad to hear it, and I hope I did not sound any more sanctimonious than I am. Isnât it great that Tom The Dancing Bug exists?

Iâll take a stab at that clarinets joke: When he says âWEâD better go too, maybe he was trying to stretch it into âreedâ territory? Thus a pun, in a Barbara-Walters lisp.

And thatâs why I think that the R-rated comedies like Dazed and Confused and Superbad can tell high school more realistically. One problem is that most âfamilyâ high school media sanitize everything, donât make characters that arenât stock, and donât even cover half the cliques and social groups that exist in most high schools now.
