Home-made, Grama-made, soft, warm flannel jammies: the best!

Yes, it’s extremely rare to find a tiger sleeping in Drowsy Bear jammies.

Hi IndyMan.Generally, the dialogue in the strip determines where Calvin and Hobbes are positioned.Today, since the final panel contains comments by both Calvin and Hobbes (as the final panel often does), and since Hobbes speaks last, Bill Watterson puts Calvin on the left side of the panel and Hobbes on the right. Otherwise, their word balloons would criss-cross.Another factor is that, a lot of times, Bill likes to show the speaking character facing toward the reader’s right, in the direction of the flow of the panels — especially in the later panels of the strip. So, in the black-and-white strip that I posted above, Hobbes has the final word facing left to right in the last panel, looking at Calvin. But in the color strip that I posted, Calvin is doing the speaking, and he has the final word facing left to right, looking at Hobbes.

I’m an agnostic insomniac with dyslexia. I lie awake all night wondering if there’s a dog.

“Calvin, the worries you have today pale in comparison to the worries you’ll have as an adult with Calvins of your own.”

The solution to those worries is simple. Have a dog instead of a kid.

Having a tiger in bed is similar in some ways to getting a rescue panther.
