I can remember sneaking down the stairs and peering through the banister at the television when I was supposed to be in bed. I would frequently get caught and never figured out how the folks knew I was there, until I was grown up.The mirror above the fireplace, opposite the stairs reflected my nightly sortie into forbidden television viewing.
Sneaky of Mike back then. Those are interested week or so ago NBC with Dolly P did her song and child life will be repeated on CHRIST mas night the viewer sored. Wished was on early as very clean show.
In Oklahoma, the show with Opie came on at 7 but that was bedtime so I tried to sneak out and watch it. I don’t understand why that would have been so bad. Later, I had a TV in my room and could watch a show without sound but when I turned it off, it would still show a light signal for about 5 minutes. Busted!
The powers that be put “Charlie Brown Christmas” on at 9 pm on a school night this year, preceded by an irritating green screened 50th anniversay special. IMHO, they could have switched the shows.
I know, I could watch a dvd of CB Christmas, but it’s not the same.

Outwitting mom—this is a traditional way for kids to act. It’s the wise mom who sees through the tomfoolery.

Are you sure it was FBOFW? I’ve seen that exact strip for Foxtrot (substitute Andy and Peter for Elly and Michael). I think you may be confusing them.
