What happens when Horace runs out of gas?

The water must have frozen, and he’s lucky this happened, because otherwise the dumb horse might have drowned.

He’s rowing, that’s what the paddles are for! Then they’ll be rowing about whose fault it was.

If it’s late in the day, they may have to build a water igloo to sleep in until morning.

This must be set in Finland—and probably in winter—if Horace can walk on water.
