Most of the caps I have were acquired from the place I worked or contractors there as give aways. If I didn’t like them (fit, look and feel) I would wear them until they needed washing and throw them out. I don’t know where I will get replacements now that I am retired. Now my hat….the only way they will take it away from me is when they pry it off of my cold, dead, head.

The ones I’ve bought recently already are frayed. In the Navy, we called that look “Salty”.

My dad had a wall of hats. He found some plastic racks that hold “ball” caps and had at least 30 mounted on that wall. He wore every one of them, too.

“Let’s go down to the cafe and count feed caps. Count feed caps all in a row. Red and blue, and green…”
I forget the rest or who wrote it, but the song stays in my head.

I wear a hat when it’s raining and/or cold. Elsewise, I’m roaming about bare-headed.
