Hey, now even John isn’t all that thrilled.
Now with cell phones he could have called Ted to double check the directions; but wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back then that wasn’t an option.
Rats are not the only critters that may have taken up residence. Skunks do it too and they have VERY CAPABLE ways of making their claims. Move it John!
X-D Ha ha ha ha ha haaaaa…. I love the way Elly was shocked with her wide-opened eyes on the last panel.
Maybe it could be a creepy centipede! Ahhhhh! It will bite you with it’s venom that is terrible poison! RUN FOR LIFE!
We stayed in a cabin once where you had to keep small items under lock and key because of some varmint. It was rather disconcerting to return from an overnight away and find a nut in the middle of the bed. Had to wonder what the trade was as never missed anything. I can’t remember what the animal is that “swaps.” But we had them.
My wife has already put her foot down. No cabins, no tents, no deep woods and definately no motels where the clerk doesn’t speak the same language as us. The last one is difficult anymore.

Beat the lumps with baseball bats (or anything else handy)! That’ll flatten them out and stop them from moving.

I noticed that Elly is moving around in the background doing work that needs to be done, and the “men” are just sitting back.
