We’re going through something like this. Our older daughter, with the help of her Godmother, got a new cell phone for my husband for Christmas because his has been acting up. Unfortunately, it HAS been acting up, so convincing him not to replace it NOW has been a chore. (He doesn’t go on this site, so I’m not giving anything away.)

Always drives my kids crazy that we don’t allow them to spend their chore money during December, unless it’s to buy a gift for somebody else.
