And in all this, our fashionably masked pilot keeps ’hanging around,(no pun intended).Almost a bigger mystery is his compliance in the act, and that a mask will somehow preserve his current secret identity?
You get to wonder if in all this “hurly burly” and subsequent exciting events, the pilot quietly flies away and is forgotten ?
Though Tracy will be deaf in his right ear maybe forever.
I suspect that the fact that the gun went off right next to his ear will be ignored for artistic license reasons. It just looks more dramatic to be portrayed as it is shown and it allows both Tracy’s head and the gun to be shown large in the frame. I recognize that in real life this would be a real danger to his hearing, but it doesn’t bother me if the idea never comes up in the strip.
