I wonder what Earl’s childhood Christmases were like.

My sister and I used to pretend to fence with them until they were too bent. Of course nowadays with so many gift cards we don’t need but two rolls of paper at best. I also miss the magic of Christmas. It a huge hassle to buy gifts as everyone has everything. And we don’t need any more things either. Bah humbug! Ha ha.

Put a broomstick inside the tube. MUCH more satisfying results. :)

We used to cut the tubes to different lengths, so we could play a tune while head-bopping.

The tubes can make a good trombone also. Dogs are particularly interested in the low pitch.

She messed up his hair!

We called them doot-ta-doos and would sing “doot-ta-doo” down the tube, like blowing a trumpet. Made the cats run and the dog absolutely lose her mind!

I hope everybody didn’t play with the empty tubes ? Ours were thrown away days before ,when the gifts were wrapped. We played with our new toys, and bikes, and other NEW gifts.

As the youngest I think I was always the boppee.

I still bop my husband.

I’m in my mid-50’s and I still bop anyone foolish enough to be in the same room when I have an empty tube.

my nephew was very given to whacking people as a child. he does seem to have gotten past it.

I know everybody’s already noticed this but children are more interested in playing with the boxes that their presents came in rather than the present itself!xxx

My Son and I just had a tube-sabre fight. He’s 31 going on 6 . . .I’m 66 going on 12 . . .

have you read the ‘disclaimer’ on the tubes??? ‘if used for bopping’ not liable for damage done to egos, glasses, loose jewelry or physical dismemberment’ – it was written by the same guy that wrote the tags on hair blowers that says not to use them in the shower or tub. also i think there is a line about not responsible for marriage break ups – on the tubes, not the hair dryers.

I have often thought we need a like button here, you are the first to actually create your own. I may do something similar and have it in reserve if needed.

They are also light sabers, swords, and unicorn horns.
