Dam cat

You recognise your children at night by the small noises they make.

What happens when a cat or dog is scratching and they hit the spot that sets off that kick reflex?

Keep a knockin’ but you can’t come it….

Gee Janis, as long as we are both awake we might as well…(fill in the blank).

My cat has learned to knock on the bedroom door when she wants in at night. Only slightly less annoying that sitting in the hall and meowing.

My little cat “pounded” on my closed bedroom door at midnight last night. I was home alone (my husband was away on business) and I was jarred out of sleep with a pounding heart. Damned cat!

Wouldn’t that be more like thump, thump, thump?

I’ve found over the years that when the vet says to use an entire tube of “Advantage” monthly to control fleas, just a drop will fill the bill and not sicken the kitty. It didn’t fill the vet’s coffers, but my/our kitty lived for 18 years before diabetes got her and her sandbox turned into a ‘mud-box’.. and had to be put down. I’d post a picture of her, but having to re-learn HTML just to show a picture of a Tuxedo Long-haired cat is too much a PITA. Onward I move.

It’s like one of those old-fashioned massage beds when the cat starts that on the bed… Just sayin’…

With house rabbits, sometimes they thump at things you can’t hear, that frighten them…just to warn you something frightening is out there! You MUST get up and check on what is bothering them, reassure them all is just fine, and if it’s very bad, give them a treat….then go back to bed. They are worth it!

LOL… my own cats kick the wall after using the litter box to knock the litter off their feet. It sounds a lot like someone knocking at the door.

How many times over the many years I’ve lived with dogs have I, being alone with them in the house, just gotten comfortable in the…errr…wash-‘em-up room when I’ve leapt like a scalded cat because one of them decided to scratch that itch right against the bathroom door. THUMPTHUMPTHUMP….never get used to it!

We used to have a big old cat who would hook his claws in the screen door and bang it repeatedly, scaring the heck out of us. Sounded like the cops were at the door with a search warrant! It was pretty effective, as we always let Romeo in.

Our cats rattle the sliding closet doors all night.

Every day in my household! large front porch with 6 cats..bedroom upstairs, but, loud noises like that, I know where it’s comin’ from!
