Hexadactylism, having six fingers or toes, affects about 5 in every 10,000 people and is often hereditary. Former Serbian flight attendant Vesna Vulovic survived a 33,333 FT fall out of an airplane in 1972! Desperate times! During the Great Depression, Texans ate armadillo, calling it poor man's pork and the Hoover Hog in homage to then President Herbert Hoover.

I’ve heard about eating armadillo on a “Bizarre foods with Andrew Zimmern” episode on the Travel Channel, but I think it was in Oaxaca.

Calling an armadillo a “Hoover Hog” is very demeaning and unfair…to the ARMADILLO!!

…why wouldn’t you just say, “1 in every 2,000”?
corpcasselbury about 9 years ago
Vesna Vulovic was actually not supposed to be on that flight; she had been mistaken for another flight attendant with the same first name. The man who found her had been in the German Army as a medic during World War 2, so he was able to treat her properly until more help arrived.

How did they measure that 33,333 feet?(Maybe it was only 33,332?)

My ex’s dad’s family would, during the Depression, find dead cows with holes in their sides. They would then hit it with a stick and catch the possums that ran out to eat for dinner. You do what you have to do…..

2 Samuel 21:20 and 1 Chronicles 20:6 describe the same Philistinian man having six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot.

Six fingers. How would that change our society?.Well, we’d probably Count by 12s instead of 10s.Which, some mathematicians say would actually make elementary Math a little bit Easier for most people..Because 10 only divides evenly by 1, 2 & 5 while 12 divides evenly by 1, 2, 3, 4, & 6.
