Whoops ! Did that once, a long time ago. Got to the post office before I realized that I hadn’t put the stamps on the envelopes. Cost me another roll of stamps and a paper cut on my tongue from licking and pasting the stamps on the cards ! ( I told you it was a long time ago, didn’t I ? )
as a child, i once mailed some letters with decorative stamps, not knowing that they were not u.s. stamps and they’d be getting there postage due if they got there at all. oh well
Oh well. If there is no return adress the recipient will have to pay the postage so, they might not thank Opal for uninteresting messages!!! It IS the thought that counts!
many post offices have stamping machines where they can run a bunch of envelopes through the stamping machine and then charge you for the total price without licking a single stamp.

I have forgotten stamps on an envelope once or twice but never on Christmas cards. However I have mailed Christmas cards December 23rd. lol
