I had a grade school teacher that used that exact same correction method.

Funnyā€¦. now that Burl is older,

itā€™s his doctor who asks that wayā€¦.

Can you go to the bathroom?

    Ā

    (Ok, OKā€¦. Iā€™m sorryā€¦.)

Wonder if the magazines are more current than the cat poster.

I hope thereā€™s a proctologist across the hall. Burlā€™s going to need a walker removed. (The owner wonā€™t want it back.)

Wow. I am surprised Burl remembered that can/may usage structure. I guess his 17-18 years of K-12 education did accomplish something. :)

Yep! I learned that too. All though it didnā€™t seem to help much with getting permission from my one first grade teacher. The one morning I remembered to ask ā€œMay I please go to the bathroom?ā€ and she said ā€œNo, you may not.ā€ And then guess what happened in the middle of morning prayers? Yep! Big old puddle of pee all over the floor. Sheā€™d probably said no because she did always take the whole class down right after prayers, but the problem was that Iā€™d been holding since Iā€™d left the house that morning, all through morning Mass, and until we got to class. I just couldnā€™t keep it in there one more second. To be fair, I didnā€™t tell her just how badly I had to go.

Iā€™m on a site where there are a lot of teenagersā€¦ā€¦not only can they not construct a sentence correctly, but they cannot spell! The other day one spelled ā€˜phraseā€™ as ā€˜fraiseā€™ ! Do not get me started on how people on eBay spell sequins. Iā€™ve seen sequence so many times the dictionary might as well change the spelling. Veil is spelled vale, vall, viel, and the best one: vallie!

Unless the fellow with the walker is very slender he wonā€™t fit on that couch anyway.
