I’m fairly new here. Is there a background on who these two are?

OK, Rover is the adopted son of Slim and Clovia. He married Hoogy back in 2003.

Speaking of retirement, look at Corky still slinging hash at the diner at age 82! Now honestly. would you want to eat a hamburger made by a man of 82? My mother was able to cook a fanatstic meal up until she was 88 before she had to go to a nursing home. Yet knowing the guy grilling your burger at the local diner is nearing 90 I don’t know how appetizing that is.

Me I wouldn’t know my own dad died months following year after turning 79. I figure most retired people just relaxed and did what they could at home at that age. My mom very much alive at 85 mostly cooks for herself.

If you can still do the job and you enjoy it, why retire?

Who’s in charge of Gasoline Alley anyway? Sounds like the police force is made up of Barney Fife, Mack Sennett and Roscoe P. Coltrane.

At least Hoagy was drawn with a nose…not like that look-a-like reporter from the Pye story.
