So few drugs cure diseases… most treat diseases. The drugs for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc., only treat the ailment. Giving the drug companies repeat customers for life. And some of the drugs that do cure disease are outrageously expensive. For example, the drug that cures Hepatitis C costs $30,000. In the U.S., at least.
How many billions are wasted on drug advertising? I’m still waiting for my doc to tell me she’s prescribing something because she was convinced its effectiveness by a tv ad.
