When it’s time to panic, just follow Burl, he seems to be expert at it!

The same logic which had us school kids huddling under tables in the cafeteria for nuclear attack drills and would have been about as effective.

A card table is no good indoors, it’s only effective if you carry it out to a ditch.

“Duck and cover”… if you haven’t seen the video, look it up… it’s hilarious! (spoiler alert: a kid delivering papers on his bike sees a bright flash, and grabs a newspaper and covers himself with it. I was unaware that newsprint would protect you from radiation! Lol!!)

Please. The sirens go off to make sure you DO have time to get to your basement! It’s not like the tornado is coming right down on your house. I lived in South Bend and we had a few warnings. And the tornados never even got close to our house. And I don’t consider it close if you can’t see it. Never saw one.

Saw Twisters yesterday. Very entertaining movie and according to a Science Friday interview, the science is pretty good. I don’t think that card table will help them, but their fat should protect them pretty well.
