When I lived in Mesa AZ, I went to a gym in Chandler and there were 2 service trucks parked in the handicap spots. I checked both trucks for handicap tags…none. When I got home home I called the Chandler PD and told them, their response was to call us next time…we love to ticket service trucks that do that!
Actually did that once – there were newly-designated handicap spaces (the lines and symbols were painted on the ground, but no upright signs – yet.) This was a store I’d shopped at many times that had not had handicap spaces in that area before. It was during a snowfall, and the snow had covered the lines. Yeah, I got a $250 ticket. I went to the magistrate’s office, told them the situation (and took a picture to document the lack of an upright sign) – and the ticket was dismissed.
Now, 35 or 40 years later, I’m legitimately disabled and can park there legally.

You all noticed how curly Burls hair is. Either he’s been wrestling with the cat again, or Joy gave him a home perm.
