My previous plan still stands. Round about midnight, get out a hose and let it mist water onto that walk for a few hours until there’s a half inch ice cap. Then watch El Rotundo try to walk it in the morning.
This just reminded me of my neighbor who refused to pay his landscaping guy to clear leaves from his yard because they came from other peoples’ trees. Instead he left them to blow onto my property. Needless to say, we had words.
The only thing I like about snow is being able to use my snowblower. I do my entire block for my neighbors and most of the backyard for my doggie. Other than that, if I ever have to brush snow off of my car again it will be too soon LOL! I love this comic strip!
The state that I live in, if you don’t bother the snow on the sidewalk, then you aren’t responsible if someone falls down and gets injured. If you shovel the snow and have melting and ice forms, then someone slips and falls upon it, you are responsible for the accident. I tell my neighbors to leave the snow a lone. They listen to me, now, after I had a client that sued a neighbor two doors from my house. I made money and my neighbors learned a lesson.
Side note. If you own a business and do not clear your lot for customers, and one gets hurt in an accident, then you are responsible.
There’s 4 other dads on the block, besides myself. We all have big two stage snowblowers, it’s always a race to see who gets to the sidewalks first. Snowblowing is fun.
