Six-year-old pirates don’t smooch! Eeeew, cooties! Maybe tiger years are like dog years and Hobbes is more advanced.

This was originally meant to be a longer Sunday strip, but Bill Watterson thought it would still be funny as a daily strip, with only the first four panels. Also, there was no way that the sexually explicit themes in the omitted panels would have made it past the editors.

Hmm… you know, for the first time I’m starting to wonder if Hobbes is expressing feelings of Calvin’s that he can’t admit to himself. ;)

I add my applause to Gweedo’s for your learning English. English is one of the more difficult languages to learn. Even native English speakers don’t get it right all the time.I have outed non-native speakers because they used English correctly.

Hobbes is obviously somewhat older than Calvin.

You couldn’t answer that question in a newspaper in 1986.

Get over it, they didn’t act any different then those prisoners in on long jail sentences do today.

If they were a clean band of pirates, instead of a dirty band, the girls might be more inclined to want to smooch them…..hygiene matters!

They’re pirates. They smooch who they want & kill who objects.

Occasionally you get one of those surprise smooches…Sometimes you take what you can get!
