    Guess what California has every single law that you people say will stop “mass shootings” and it did NOTHING to save the San Bernadino victims NADA, zilch, big goose egg you want to stop “mass Shootings”? get rid of gun free zones and arm people in those formerly gun free zones.

    So the President should just ignore all the mass shootings etc.? That’s ridiculous.

    The president ‘should’ be trying to disarm criminals, not honest citizens. But he’s not.

    @Redkaycei Repoc

    I take it you are not familiar with who comprise the militia. To sum it – all able-bodied males 17-45 years of age who are citizens or intend to become citizens, female citizens who are members of the National Guard; organized=national Guard and Naval Militia; unorganized=not members of the Guard or Naval Militia.

    Further, to quote what some of those responsible for fighting for the founding of the nation, as well as writing/approving of the 2nd Amendment -

    Thomas Jefferson, of Virginia: “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.”

    George Mason, of Virginia: ." . . . I ask, who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people, except a few public officers."

    Samuel Adams, of Massachusetts: “The said Constitution [shall] be never construed …; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms.”

    Richard Henry Lee, of Virginia: “To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.”

    Tench Coxe, of Pennsylvania: “As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people duly before them, may attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which might be occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow-citizens, the people are confirmed by the next article in their right to keep and bear their private arms.”

    Patrick Henry, of Virginia: “The great object is that every man be armed. . . . Everyone who is able may have a gun. . . . Are we at last brought to such a humiliating and debasing degradation that we cannot be trusted with arms for our own defense?”

    That’s because every time BHO speaks about gun violence, he has the same answer, the one that has never worked in Chicago, the one that has never worked in Detroit, the one that has never worked in New York, or Los Angeles, the one that has certainly never worked in Baltimore. He has no answer; his gun-control kazoo has one note. We’ve heard it before and we know it’s a complete and total failure. So until there’s a sea change in the way people think about the sanctity of human life, the best thing you can do is be prepared to defend yours and those you love.

    Jan is the homeowner. She can ban guns and ammo in her house if she wishes. She can put it in the rental agreement. And Carl can go buy his own house if he wants to be unencumbered by someone else’s rules.
