Frazz by Jef Mallett for January 09, 2016
Transcript:
Mrs. Olsen: You're doing WHAT this weekend? Frazz: Polar plunge. Mrs. Olsen: Why on earth? Frazz: I can't get anyone to swim outside with me anymore, so a quick dunk it is. Mrs. Olsen: I don't know which is worse: That he's jumping through a hole in the ice, or that he considers it a compromise. Miss Plainwell: Back off. He's mine.

Frazz should swim laps in the hole. It’s the only way he’s going to get a good time.

Is there any ice water to jump into?

Saw an interesting observation: Rabbits run fast and jump high-live about eight years. Tortoises move slow and never jump-live about 150 years. Food for thought.

Sorry, Hobbes already beat that record. He swam a lap in 0 seconds

Given that you can die in minutes from being in cold water (Titanic, anyone?) I fail to see the reasoning in Polar Plunging. You’d think the shock to your system would be detrimental, no matter how fast you get back out—and into the nice cold air on your wet skin!
