I have a memory of my grandfather sitting in his big chair on the porch (he was paralyzed on the left side from a stroke) and I was in the yard playing hide-n-seek with my cousins. I remember climbing up onto the running board of the black truck and thinking no one could find me there. I was two.

I remember being scared waiting in line for Santa at Lockheed, and hugging my daddy’s legs – except they were a stranger’s! All the men wore pretty much the same work pants in those days.

I have a memory of my Auntie Kathleen (my Godmother) giving me little pink plastic roller skates, holding my hands, and wheeling me around on our hardwood floor. It was my 2nd birthday.

I remember being in a wicker-covered stroller and my mother talking to another woman and I was afraid I’d end up rolling into a garage door. Had to be very small because of the location (Montreal). We left when I was 1 1/2.
