I thought a lot of evangelical congregations did exactly that… Had an hour of music,clapping and jumping about, along with a ‘warm-up’ preacher, before the pastor did his hour-long sermon ?
“Warm up” acts are not uncommon…
Many years ago, I attended a Cat Stevens concert. The ‘opening’ act performed between Mr. Stevens’ two sets.
