Chepe: This is unbelievable! Some nitwit in Utah compiled 1,300 names of suspected "illegal aliens" and made them public! This jerk also included delivery dates of pregnant women on the list! Who could have done such a cowardly act? Pepe: His name sure ain't "Schindler."

Publishing a non classified list is a crime? What do you have to say about Daniel Ellsberg? Oh, that’s OK that he sold secret documents because he embarrassed Nixon. I wonder if we would have been out of Vietnam earlier before the treasonous leak..

The list was confidential, and included social security numbers, names, addresses and other personally identifying information.
At the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, they regularly fire people for looking up celebrity medical records and leaking them to the media.
This episode, however, is much closer to publishing a list of suspected Jews, especially in that some of the accused are NOT illegal aliens, but are only guilty of being targeted by political fanatics with an agenda.

Fun Trivia: The Pentagon Papers were actual government documents, and illuminated the debate on the conduct of the Vietnam War.
Meanwhile, an ultra-conservative group named Concerned Citizens of America has sent out a list to Utah agencies and individuals that reportedly contains the names and addresses and phone numbers of 1300 people it claims are in Utah illegally. It is unclear how the list was compiled, but some names on the list have been checked out, revealing both legal and illegal immigrants living in Utah. (The list has more to do with fear-mongering and Joseph McCarthy than informing any serious debate on immigration.)
Yes, this is exactly the same thing!
(Try to be less of a dingbat in the future, thank you.)

Ellsberg was charged with a crime. he was not convicted because the evidence against him was found to be illegally obtained, not because his acquisition and release of the papers was found to be legal.

The kvetch about it is the rumblings around here suggest the two suspected perpetrators will likely only be fired as a punishment, as they already have done.
