Actually, gravity IS a force. Acceleration is what is produced on a body with mass “m” by this force. At least according to Newton. Clearly, general relativity description is a bit different, but that’s another story.
It is pc to recommend the refrigerator that uses the least electricty. Think about it a minute – how often do you see a PC refrigerator for sale? The truth is that they do not last long enough to resell, you have to peplace them every 5-8 years. Look in the paper, you see old ones(from the 50s and 60s) still working great. why support “planned obsolesance”?
The “appears to cost less” is only one reason for the odd pricing. At least in stores, it’s also a way to force the transaction to involve giving change (remember cash?) and therefore to involve the cash register opening, and therefore to be accountable. It’s too easy for a clerk to just take the $20 bill, lay it on the register and pocket it later. If he has to give a penny or two in change, it’s a different ballgame.

Is there any product or business franchise that’s ever been honest? As a young lad, I grew up believing that most of them were!

Can we say “rip-off” … ? The phrase “kit ’n caboodle” has always made me laugh, though.
