Yes, the hat. I guess it is supposed to be sort of a bulls eye target, with its ring design. Kind of a stretch for me though, but apparently a reason for them to target him with snow balls.

Annie’s kids just seemed to disappear from the strip after awhile. I don’t think we ever saw them as adults, even though Annie was still around.
