FISHSTIX Excellent! It is amazing to me that the takers can vote higher taxes for the doers. Does it bother me that Acorn registers the nonworking ignorant burdens on society to vote more benefits for themselves. Race was not the reason for poll taxes or landowners only. Perhaps a military service/Peace Corps/ AmeriCorps requirement isn’t a bad idea. Every citizen give 2 years. Every citizen pay taxes. You want American Rights? Show American Responsibility.
Read a Heinlein book once in which only those who had served in the military had the right to vote. I always thought that was a good idea. As Lewreader says, if you want the rights, show the responsibility.
