    Actually, sometimes I avoid buying “non-diswasher safe” items because I do not want the hassle of remembering which dishes can and which cannot go in. So, at some level I can understand her, and might be tempted to throw out (or more likely donate or put into a rummage sale) the cup she has.

    “Well, we have a recycle bin right over here.” [indicates sink]“All we have to do is treat it with a little bit of this.” [indicates soap]“Then we rinse it off. Once it’s dry, it is instantly recycled and is ready to be used again.”
