I once had dengue fever as a teenager. My mother upon the advice of my grandmother gave me pigeon soup. Then instead of going to the doctor I was taken to the local pharmacist. Upon arriving there the fever had broke. Maybe those old remedies work.
When I was 6 or 7 I once had a cough. Dad filled a small glass with a clear liquid and told me to drink it. He didn’t tell me, but it was straight tequila. I gulped it down and felt the burn. I haven’t touched tequila since.
