It didn’t ruin the joke for me, but it bugs me. Why are they hiding nuts now? They don’t hide nuts in February. They don’t hide nuts in deep snow. They hide nuts in the Fall because in February there is deep snow and you can’t find any nuts.I have to remember it is just a comic strip. After all they show teamwork among squirrels.

You don’t have to store the walnuts. You can use them for lots of great treats. Walnuts in brownies are good…

If you property is dominated by oaks squirrels will hoard acorns, if it is surrounded by a stand of walnut trees they will certainly hoard walnuts.
