So, it looks like they are back at the hotel in New York. Tracy went home and talked to the Chief and Diet Smith, then returned to New York to collect the other two detectives… but I thought Ivanov had gone to Tracy’s city already, so I suppose that he also had to return to New York.
Anyway, they are about to arrest some bank robbers that Tracy has arrested before. @cpalmeresq: The odds are never in your favour when Tracy is in town, but you’re right that “Bronson Canyon” and “Double E” are very unlucky if it’s them again.
I guess we’re lucky to have the strip in black-and-white here today, because at Comics Kingdom the colorist made a huge mistake. While it is clear that Tracy lead the Three Amigos down the stairs and in panel 2 is at the Fire Exit door, the CK colorist gave the yellow trenchcoat and fedora to the figure seen coming down the stairs (still in panel 2), mistaking him (it must be Porfiry Ivanov, more in shape and faster than Francisco Wunbrow) for Tracy because of the angular profile facial features. Even a cursory reading of the text should have made clear which one was Tracy!Or do colorists get the drawings with empty word balloons that are later inked in with text?
