Actually the use of a twofer coupon is good thinking especially if you use it to go to a place you would normally avoid because of the (inflated) cost.
My husband had a short job (he’s a guitar player & singer) at a nearby nursing home. They had a doubles lunch. After he finished we went to Beef O’Brady’s because they had a coupon for a free lava cake dessert!! Guess we’re pluggers.
We did today, and they took the coupon. After 58 years of marriage, we know romance must have a solid foundation, and that means don’t risk the nest egg.

The coupon may have the effect of killing the mood. Watch out.

Why not? Being fiscally minded IS romantic when you’re married. I love that my hubby cares where our money goes.

Gotta read the fine print. Coupons usually exclude the major holidays.
