Since she seems to be looking in a kitchen drawer…. maybe she means a whisk, like Bev posted…But if that’s a dining room buffet, it could be a table top whisk broom…
Or the plastic variety….
Or, in the bedroom dresser…maybe even an old fashioned whisk broom for clothes…
But I’ve never heard any of them called a whisker!
The thing you whisk things with is called a whisk. Not a whisker. At first I thought maybe she’d saved one of Muffin’s whiskers and I was wondering why. Not like you could put it back on.
If she had said whisk, I would have known immediately what she was looking for. I have not heard whisker however. I would have brought her a whisk broom or as we call it around here a “fox tail”.
Whisks come in different sizes; it all depends on the depth of the food mixture you wish to blend. When they first came out made of silicone, they were black. Today, they can be made of silicone in several bright colors.

Time to do a whisk assessment?

I’m confused, too. We have a little whisk broom to brush crumbs off the table and into a waste basket. Is that what opal means?

Er..That’s a whisk. And after you make a mess in the kitchen, you might need to clean up with a whisk broom.

Good ol’ Earl. Always ignorant.

Thanks, people, I had forgotten about those wire whisks. You can tell I don’t do a lot of cooking from scratch these days.

Interesting comments. Some are hurtful, but the commenters live that way.

I’m sure Earl whisked at least once in his life … the day he whisked Opal off her feet.

I own one but, never use it. I prefer a fork to do the job.

And then you have a WI male that wants his DMV photo taken with a colander on his head. At least he’s not hanging whisks on both ears too.

You’ll find it soon, Opal. Just keep Earl out of it. He’s no use!

That’s called a whisk, Opal. If it weren’t so late, abbybookcase, I’d join you.
