Cats and dogs have differing eating habits, but there are some things neither should eat. Chocolate for one. In spite of all the cartoons over the years that have shown kids sharing ice cram and candy with their pets- itâs a bad idea.
Not all cats are indifferent to sweets. My daughterâs cat LOVES marshmallows and cotton candy (which she gets very infrequently and in very low amounts).
Our family dog when I was a kid, was a German Shepherd/Collie mix, ate table scraps mixed with a little dog chow if not enough scraps. We got him when he was 4wks old and he was 20 years old when he died. On the other hand, I had a Scotty that my ex loved to feed snack food to, potato chips, nuts, table food, etc. whatever he ate the dog got some too. The Scotty died at 14 with liver disease. My present dog gets nothing but grain free dog food and treats. I donât want to take any chances.

Actually, splenda is dangerous to animals. Please stop doing that.

Our dog will completely devour a loaf of bread if we leave it anywhere in the open.
