I’m not even a parent, but this makes me madder ‘n hell; This is a perfect example of being “Penny wise and dollar foolish.” Even if they went into it “innocently,” the SECOND you know there’s a problem, you deal with it.However, if they had done their engineering work to begin with, they would have realized that the lower pH of the water would be corrosive and cause leaching into the water.

. People appointed by the governor were assigned to low income communities, taking all authority away from the elected officials. Their job was to lower costs so they didn’t have to raise taxes. Meanwhile, corporations and rich folks got the tax breaks they paid for when they put up the money to elect a Republican administration. Sure, the poor folks were drinking lead laced water, but the rich folks were happy, the Republicans would have the money to get reelected, so this is a win win situation for everyone who matters.

It’s even worse than you have here: Flint wasn’t going to save any money with what they were doing. Simply staying on the Detroit system for the foreseeable future would be millions of dollars cheaper than switching to the new system.

No, this was all about hurting Detroit’s finances. To the point that Governor Snyder replaced the first emergency manager after he refused to go along with the switch.

This is beyond despicable! To the point that thousands of children will be affected, including adults!!! This decree by the governor should be judged and punished by the PRESIDENT!!! Why isn’t the governor impeached!!! This country is turning into one of its lowest periods in history…

In the meantime we are seeing more and more stores closing and people leaving town. Could all this have been planned?

This is criminal. If a terrorist hit our water supply folks would be screaminging about the threat to Americans. When the government in Michigan or a corporation in West Virginia does it it was a “mistake”. Charges should be brought against those responsible.

This is what happens when we let amateurs run government. Americans always think some non-politician is going to save us from politics, but the fact is, politics need politicians. Businessmen are not qualified to run cities, states or countries.
