Life imitates art… on the radio this morning they were saying that the ceremonial first leg of the Iditarod dogsled race was cut from 20 miles (on real snow) to 6 (with help from snowmaking machines). The real race will be a challenge; lots of ice and bare ground.
I was out in the yard, picking up sticks today, without a jacket. I even put out the rain gauge. We had lots of snow a few weeks ago, but it went fast.

You can have ours…. Over 80 cm of snow, in just three snowfalls… Yuck!
