That’s true, you’ll never know what it means… the laser beam with your name on it will make sure of that.

I still don’t see why they bother to wear that armor, since every one of them gets killed if shot once.

That’s amazing! Raider’s troopers went to the same school as sports talk hosts. Or didn’t go…

In Dirk Raider’s world, it translates to laser fodder.

This is about as real as all the other so-called reality shows I’ve seen. Only much more entertaining.

@Edcole; The armor doesn’t protect against blasters, it protects against them stubbing their toes.

More people are injured by stubbing their toes than are injured by blaster fire, so stubbing protection is more important.

If I’m hit by a laser, I’ll have to stay away from my insect friends. That’s right, I’ll end up being a living bug zapper for 24 hours!

Not being Network savvy, I can only deduce the word “smart” in the third panel means, “Are you smarter than a moon rock?”

Am I the only one who heard the Wilhelm Scream in my head when the trooper got shot?

There’s a new movie called The Expendables, and Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Lundgren star in it; so, no, it doesn’t mean “smart.”

“Smart” is what I think they’re telling our overseas troops.

“1st to fight” = cannon fodder. “Tell it to the Marines.” They laugh.

Hate to say it but the expression “tell it to the Marines” came from unbelievable sailor stories. For some reason they did not consider us jarheads to be to smart. The quote probably was “tell it to the Marines, they’ll believe anything” Semper Fi!

About sports talk hosts…it doesn’t take a Norman Einstein to know what expendable means…
