After that long monologue, I think the pitcher is frozen in place. Cruel & unusual punishment for these little guys and gals. You would need snowshoes to run the bases.

A sport in which the games can be won by negotiation is much more to my taste than one in which you actually have to use….what is that stuff called? Oh yeah…. “athletic prowess.”I’m not sure where you get that…I’ve never owned any and I don’t think they sell it anyplace around here…not even Walmart or Sears.

You can find almost anything online…. but apparently “Amazon.com” is a misnomer.

And yeah, to kids like Agnes, or the grade school me….this would be pure torture.Kudos to Agnes for even suiting up and going out there…It shows respect for Grandma and appreciation for what she’s trying to do, however misguided.

When I was in Iowa for a winter, there were baseball teams that played in the snow. They used black balls so they could see it. Fun to watch. It is nice when communities can get together and have fun in any weather… Wish I had moved there..

For someone who was as good at ballet as I was, I had the athletic ability of a rock. Of course, being nearsighted and too vain to wear my glasses may have contributed to that, at least a little bit.

I grew up in Wisconsin. The cold didn’t bother me then, but I don’t want to go back.
