The new cartoonist is Mason Mastroianni, Johnny Hart’s grandson. He took over B.C in 2007 and the Wiz last December. That’s why the strips look different. Part of it is Mason draws thicker lines than Parker and Hart did.

This has reminded me of a long-forgotten Red Skelton skit. A clearly distressed voter is waiting to get into the polling booth. When he finally gets in he looks around and asks “Alright, where is it?” [Long pause] “Where’s the phone?”
