It’s not politics if the candidate is already so much of a cartoon character.

Hopefully they’ll degrade both candidates equally!

Oh, one more thing: Those with a public forum have historically used that forum to express private opinions, especially when they see a problem somewhere. Plug Donald Trump’s “personality” (for lack of a more descriptive term) into the power of the Presidency and I don’t know if the completely broken-down governmental structure can contain the result as it has in its more functional past.

Lewis/Fry, I have loved your strip for many years, but when you feel so self-important that you think that you will change people’s minds by espousing your political beliefs in a frigging cartoon you have truly lost touch with reality. Look at the comments. All you have achieved is pissing off half your readership. I read comics to have a good laugh. I am looking forward to your strip giving me one again.

Beware the one who mesmerizes stealthily, whispering sweet nothings all the while denigrating their opponent’s promises as unattainable (in other words any politician). Which is better, a rabid pit bulldog biting all he sees or an incompetent weasel who couldn’t even run a small department without getting someone killed or revealing sensitive information to our enemies? It’s like the walking wounded carrying the stretcher cases. We are doommmmmmed, doommmmmmmmed I say!!! Where’s my Xanax???

If Hamilton feared takeover by the so-called rabble (us non-owner renters, e.g.) as a threat to the common good and thus espoused checks and balances, I wonder if he ever contemplated a wealth-flasher “rabble” rouser who had vested interests galore and yet didn’t attribute it to the country’s peace in which to do business and its government-harnessed (read “governor” on too much speed) somewhat-even playing field environment that made it possible.

Let’s have them talk and be held to substantiate. Press, where are you. Oh, yeh, in the cartoon section. Gracias a Dios.

Thank you J-B for backing what I said yesterday. Fry and Lewis are NOT political cartoonists, and with their humor and quality writing, don’t need to be. You are the ALTERNATIVE comic strip. Take advantage of your strength, guys, or you WILL lose your customers (readers).
