    I think people who love BTiLC saw it when it was new. When I saw it for the first time a few years back, I found it mostly lame.

    The secret to enjoying Big Trouble in Little China is realizing that Jack Burton only thinks he’s the hero when really he is the comic relief sidekick to the Asian hero of the story.

    Yeah, Kurt Russell had done the bad ass with John Carpenter in Escape From NY and The Thing; so Jack Burton was very deliberately playing against….aw, who am I kiddding? There is literally NO point in trying to get a woman to appreciate BTILC!
